O/S (Operating System)

Tim's new solo exhibition opens on Saturday, October 11th at Addict Galerie in Paris. The exhibition features 12 new paintings that are incorporated into elaborate modular structures, or "systems".

There is also a new serigraph print featuring the art from the cover of the American Cyclops book

THE ARTIST IN YOU

Tim's new solo exhibition opens on Saturday, May 17th at Jonathan LeVine Gallery in NYC. The show of new paintings is accompanied by a 64-page book comprised mostly of text. The book is very personal and provocative. Here is a quote from the dust jacket: "From violent outbursts of reactionary vitriol to subtle existential revelations, THE ARTIST IN YOU presents a personal response to the complexities of involvement in the field of fine art".

Chrome Pollard!

On Friday, February 8th Flopdoodle will release a very limited chrome-plated edition of the original Pollard figure.

Tim Biskup @ San Diego Comic-Con

Flopdoodle will be taking a break from exhibiting at Comic-Con this year. We are still worn out from last year. Tim will be there, though. He'll have new releases at a few different booths and a signing on Friday. Here are the details...

Super 7 Booth (#4829)

Signing: Tim's only signing at Comic-Con will be Friday from 4pm until 6pm at the Super 7 booth (#4829).
Releases: Super 7 has produced two different versions of Marusan's Giant Mecha-Godzilla figure with paint jobs designed by Tim. There are 25 blue versions and 50 pink. There will also be a few one-of-a-kind custom painted versions!

There will be a "Virus Glow" version of Tim's Tankizaado figure by Wonderwall available. The figure is limited to only 50 & will only be available during the signing!

Gargamel Booth (#4837)

Gargamel will have an exclusive dark blue Dragamel figure set. Each set has a large and small Dragamel figure with identical paint schemes.

They will also have several custom painted large Dragamel figures by Tim.

In addition, Tim will be releasing 10 Kaiju inspired Jackson 500 paintings through Gargamel. This is a rare chance to pick up an original J500 piece as they are no longer regularly released for sale. The majority of them going to a few private collections.

Dark Horse Booth (#2615)

Volume 3 of Tim's Jackson 500 book series is out now and will be available at the Dark Horse booth.

Helio will be throwing a party at their Santa Monica retail space to celebrate the completion of Tim's Helio Ocean mural project in Hollywood.There will be an installation of Biskup art and objects inside the store and music by DJ Alphabeast & friends.In addition, Helio will be giving away 75 Helio exclusive Big Pollard figures! The blue and green painted glow-in-the-dark figure is limited to 100! Details are not available at this time, but there will be some sort of lottery at the event. That means that everyone will have an equal chance to get one of the figures. (please do not contact Flopdoodle or Helio regarding details of this release. There will be no further info until the day of the event.)

Killer Dragons From The West

Tim will be in Tokyo with pal Bwana Spoons at a party for the release of several exclusive vinyl figures at Thrash Out, The flagship store of Japanese vinyl masters Gargamel.

The party will be Saturday, March 17th from 1pm until 8pm. But don't go jump on a plane just yet. Flopdoodle.com will have some of the exclusives available online in the next week or two. Stay tuned or get yourself on the mailing list.Click Here for more info.

Biskup Bites Big Apple!

Tim will be in New York for the release of two new figures, some DJ time and bit of general wreckless abandon in conjunction with the Armory Show and those other art fairs.

New York Comic-Con

Come visit us at our booth during New York Comic-Con (#339 - Listed as Huckleberry Toys, but it's really us!). The show runs from Friday, February 23rd to Sunday, the 25th.

We'll be releasing the new Big Pollard Vermillion Brother #2 figure

We will be offering a handfull of the figures here online on opening day.

Tim has also produced a little group of custom painted figures for the event and a few other surprises!

Medicom and High Five will be releasing the 400% version of Tim's "Alphabeast: Calli" Be@rbrick figure.

Tim will be at the Toy Tokyo/High Five booth (#126) to sign figures on Saturday from 1-3pm & Sunday from 1-2pm.

DJ Alphabeast at Lit Lounge

Tim will be spinning megabytes for Lit Lounge's 5th anniversary party on Thursday, Feb 22nd. Not sure what time, so show up early!

Art Basel Miami

Tim will be heading to Miami for the Art Basel Art Fair from December 7th through the 11th. He’ll have some all new paintings at Billy Shire’s booth at the Catalina Hotel on Collins Ave (part of the Art Basel adjacent Bridge Art Fair). Here's one of the images:

There is a giant Flat-Calli pyramid installation (featuring 49 individual 18” tall wooden figures!) at the “We’ll Make A Lover Out Of You” group exhibition at the ArtCenter of South Florida. The show opened on November 25th, but the official opening reception is on December 8th.

Dragon Head Print

Tim will have a new serigraph print in the aptly named “December Print Show” at Moshi-Moshi in Portland, OR. The print is titled “Dragon Head”. It’s a 6-Color signed & numbered edition of 200. The show opens Friday, December 1st.

Biskup in Berlin!!!

Tim will be in Berlin from October 11th through October 14th where he will take part in the second annual Pictoplasma conference.

Here’s what’s going on:

“Vapor” Painting Exhibition

Tim will be sharing a gallery space with Gary Baseman for a show of all new paintings. The exhibition focuses on the fleeting nature of life.
The opening reception on October 11th will be part of the Pictoplasma “Character Walk” event.

Pictoplasma Talk

IKI will be there:

A new addition to Tim’s character list. IKI is a distant cousin of Ghonner. Happy on one side, sad on the other. The tiny (2.25” tall) bronze sculpture comes in a custom letterpress printed package made by Buenaventura Press. It is being made in a signed & numbered edition of only 44! (These will be available only through the Laguna Art Museum store.)

Flat Calli will be there.

You'll have to come see it for yourself. The big ones in the museum gallery will display their talent for balance. The little ones in the store might go home with you for a private show!

Happy New Year

Tim is planning two events around the release of his ACID HEAD figure. The 8" tall "Dunny" is being released by Kidrobot in an edition of 1000. Here's info about the two events:

small original paintings - There will be 10 new paintings from the Jackson 500 series & maybe more!

5 different very large (33" x 44") digital prints - These Iris/Giclee prints are limited to only 10. Only one of each print will be available at this show. The Helper image on the left side of the Acid Head flyer (above) is one of the print images. Here is another one:

A new Serigraph, "Alpha-Riot", will be released at the Kidrobot event. It will also be available here at Flopdoodle.com on the same day.
